Day 22
BIG RED’s quilt run journey continues. I think we have visited 47 quilt shops so far! (My numbers may be off as I am forgetting to count) Our first shop of the day was in Nampa. QUILTING BLISS, Idaho was a great shop and a must visit. They have a classroom, 2 long arms (husband does the longarming). They batiks, vintage, and other great fabrics. They also have and online and etsy store with 3100 items. If they do t have it they will get it for you. Ruthie is the owner and they gave me a bag full of fat quarters for my retreat door prizes! JK QUILTS in Maridian, Idaho. They have two longarms, and lots of fun kits. They have Facebook live Thursday mornings, and is owned by twin sisters. Next we headed to Boise, Idaho and stopped at QUILT CROSSING. Owned by Laura Reardon and is HUGE. It opened in 1989. Has 4 longarms, a very large classroom, and all sorts of fabrics and kits and supplies. They are also a Bernina dealer. A very fun place. The last shop of the day was in Logan, Utah. MY GIRLFRIENDS QUILT SHOP was also very large and super friendly. They gave my husband a man bag when he entered the store (had water and chocolate). They gave me a cute little gift as it was the first time I had been in. The shop is large with 3 long arms and a very nice classroom. They have a second shop in Sandy, Utah. They have been in business for 10 years. Kimberbell got its start here! Very nice shop. Two of the shops already hung my flyer in the window advertising our retreats starting in October! We stopped for the day and had dinner at Olive Garden (a 2 minute walk from the hotel) The hollyhocks are beautiful here.
