We did 6 shops today. I may have to do a “go fund me”. We started at a very stuffed QUILTERS HOLLOW in Stockton. Thank you Priscilla and Donne for referring them. They were super nice and down to earth and the shop was stuffed ready for those fall projects. We then drove to Rancho Cordova and stopped in CALI QUILT CO (thank you Nancy for your recommendation) They are huge, clean and friendly plus they do quilt retreats in Tahoe! Oooooo. They have patterns, fabric, notions and more! We drove on to Sacramento to the FABRIC GARDEN. It was smaller but clean newish looking and friendly. (Warning….the homeless population is growing and found almost around every corner) Our next stop was FRIENDS AROUND THE BLOCK In Colusa. They have classes, a website, very cute fabric. Still in business after 8 years! We traveled on to Oroville to PIECES OF LOVE and while my husband was taking a photo of me in front of the shop I noticed a fire was starting just across the street. I ran in the shop and buy the time I said call 911 the flames were huge! Fire trucks arrived on the scene and were still there after my shopping. It is a must see and maybe you will get to see their parrot! When we left another fire had been started a few blocks away. The last shop of the day came recommended by “Pieces of Love”. It is a giant sew and vac store but there is HONEY RUN QUILTERS. They give discounts to any guild members. That’s it for today. Tired and hungry. (Got some great gifts and fabric though) TOMORROW SALEM BOUND!
