Just finishing up the after school sewing program.....The students learned a lot of techniques making this zebra...
Starting October 3rd and going through the 7th the YOUTH SEWING CAMP will be going on. Beginners start at 2pm-5pm and intermediates start at 9am-noon each day except Tuesday (this day we will all go shopping in my big red van). All supplies are included including sewing machines. Next sewing camp will be $100 December 19th-23rd. Sign up before December 1st and save $10.
October 8th is the reversible Wall Hanging. This class is 9am-4pm for $45. There are a couple of spots open. Please bring your lunch. All supplies included except lunch.
The Appliques are already cut for you. Reservations are required.
October 15th is the Block of the month Class. The class has been making themed blocks to eventually make a seasonal quilt/wall hanging. We haven't put the sashing in yet. Students are learning to paper piece and applique for now. You can join in anytime you want. We actually started in April and will complete this in March. Each month is a different block.
November 1st is the first of many, I hope, of the Featherweight club. It will be held in my studio on the first Tuesday of each month. There is no cost. It will be for Featherweight owners to come share ideas, get help, and/or work on projects with like minded Featherweight owners.
November 5th will be the annual Drive By Outdoor Quilt showing. I will have many things to give away. (notions, fabric, teacher samples....but NO machines) Just a few things for sale. This will be held outside of my house.
November 12th in the morning at 9am will be the Block of the Month (BOM) themed for Fall/Thanksgiving. $30
In the afternoon at 2pm with be the adult oven mitt class. $30 Again, all supplies are included and reservations are required.
December AT LAST......the 3rd is the BOM class and will be festive I just haven't chosen the pattern yet.
December 6th is the Featherweight get together....bring your featherweight and prepare for fun bring a holiday project you are working on.
AND DECEMBER 10th with be a very fun Festive wall-hanging....This will be a 9-3ish class...bring your lunch and prepare to enjoy. All the appliques will be cut in advance for you.You just need to bring (see below) for the fabric exchange.....(instead of a cookie exchange)
BRING 5 SCRAPS AT LEAST 6" SQUARE OF GREENS (FOR TREES) AND A FAT QUARTER OF RED to exchange. THIS CLASS WILL BE $35. This will measure 6"x32"
Last but not least will be Christmas Youth sewing camp......I have some great holiday gift/projects lined up. The dates are December 19-23rd. Beginners start at 9am-noon and intermediates at 2-5pm. $100 includes all supplies (including sewing machines), a field trip in the big RED VAN to a fabric store. Reservations are required. Ages (mature) 8-18. The students will go home with gift worthy projects. (NOT PICTURED)
