Day 8 in our journey. Today we stopped by my favorite sewing machine store….Montavilla! I took classes, purchased machines, Thread, hoops, and more classes…they are tops hands down. Brett, Jason, Chris and her daughter (Tallia) have treated me well for 20 years. if you need a machine this is the place! We made 3 quilt store stops today. 1st was QUILTING DELIGHTS in Portland. They moved from Clackamas area to this new location. They have been at the new
address for three years. It has ample parking for just about anything. Have a super classroom, has a longarm, and sells berninas. The owner invented a very cool freemotion foot for the bernina. The front of the store is very hidden but if you drive around to the back you will see the store front. Great fabric also. The next shop we went to SHARONs ATTIC QUILT SHOP in Hillsboro, Oregon. Wasn’t much to look at from the outside but what a fun group of ladies I got to talk with. There is a lot of construction in the front so a big rig will not fit at this time. Huge class room and lots of nice fabrics. Prices are good also. We set off for the last shop of the day on In historic Troutdale (Oregon) SHARONS ATTIC QUILT SHOP WAS CLOSED ON MONDAYS!!!. The only thing that greeted us was DALE. We will be back. We ended the day having a nice dinner with our daughter.
