I have to say these pumpkin classes were a huge success! I wanted to keep all of the pumpkins. This all started with pumpkin stems I collected years ago from neighbors years ago. As I realized very soon I didn't have enough stems, my husband went out and purchased a few pumpkins. They had to have stems on them. I cooked the pumpkin for pumpkin recipes then dehydrated the stems then used my dremmel to grind off any left over pumpkin. Every pumpkin was as unique as the person that made it. There were mom's and sons, moms and daughters and friends with friends.....Thank you all for adding joy to my life.
Although it's not a pumpkin we picked out first watermelon from out garden early October.

I LOVE THE AUTUMN! with its colors and the anticipation of cooler weather even though the only changing of the leaves is from the Ocotillos.

The brownies even came to make their purse sized tissue holders...They even learned how to be careful with rottery cutters and irons! They all did great.

No one got stuck, burned or cut. They promised to come back in January to sell me some cookies.
As October comes to a close I will be having my second annual drive by outdoor quilt showing on the 30th. Last year was a huge success. During covid people wanted to get outside to do anything. With masks on we met new neighbors, friends, and quilters. I will have quilts on display. There is nothing to purchase and nothing to eat only a viewing to maybe inspire more quilting and sewing. It will be at my house all day. My address is
548 E Drawdown Trail, Corona de Tucson. please come and introduce yourself.
November 13th is the Christmas ornament class at 1pm....$25...the class is full but if there is more interest I will open another class. It will be a fabric exchange so you need to bring 1/4 yard of Christmas fabric so we can use each other's fabrics to make our ornament/table decoration.....There MAY be enough time to make two...

We will be using a curved ruler and actually sewing on aluminum foil!!!
The rest of my time if preparing for the retreats coming up starting November 14-20th. I still have some slots open. I am making little luggage for all of my guests (to remind them to travel safely).......I am also making a Santa wall hanging that is very fun, and I finally completed the the double wedding ring quilt which still needs the binding. But it turned out very nice....Another vintage quilt saved!
